Treat
Action threshold: the pest density at which to apply treatment. This value is determined by the economic injury level (EIL), which is the level of pest attack that causes crop loss equal to the cost of treatment. If the average density of cutworms exceeds this level, then treatment can be economically justified. The actual decision to treat can be complex, however, and is the final responsibility of the grower/manager of the farm.
