SAMPLING FOR NEMATODES |
CONTENTS
This section contains general information about sampling strategies, when and how to take soil samples, how to care for samples, and where to send samples for identification. Presence of a threatening population of plant-pathogenic nematodes needs to be established before any nematode management decisions are implemented. This can only be done through adequate sampling of the field and by having the samples analyzed by qualified personnel. Damage to mint and yield loss from nematode feeding are dependent on the species of nematodes present and their population density. |
