If we click on the STATSGO link, we get the database records for all soil series within this vector polygon. More work with creating a more formal SQL database would allow for more sophisticated queries and analyses of soil characteristics. For example, we might be interested in the average percent organic or sand content for the selected location. This database is now available in this form for the entire Northwestern US.
