General Description:

This annual grass has flattened stems that are spreading or erect and form dense clumps 2 to 12 inches long. The leaves are short and bright green with the tip curved. Inflorescences on short, spreading branches. Plants flower during the entire growing season. The roots are shallow and easily pulled from the soil. Grows well in cool weather and is prevalent in moist areas with rich soils.

Herbicide Control Notes:

• Early application of Sinbar or Direx/Karmex is most effective. Herbicide-resistance annual bluegrass is common in western Oregon. Addition of Gramoxone to residue herbicides might be necessary for adequate control.
