Townes Van Zandt 4-16-89 Neusüdende (Pfingstfestival) Gasthof Lindenhof Germany *Notes- I've had this show on cdr for a long time. I've been digging through boxes because I knew I had a couple Townes shows that hadn't been shared online. I thought it was time to share this in lossless format, since It hasn't been done before. This show is listed in the db, however it's listed as only having 6 songs. I've listened to this show & it's complete without any cuts or edits. This was also listed as being part of a festival- "Pfingstfestival", but I have no way to substantiate that unless someone who was at this show steps forward. It sounds like there's a lot of people in the room. Apparently there's film of this show as well. I can't say for sure if this audio was taken directly from the dvd video, but it does sound like an excellent audience recording to me. Townes doesn't talk to much other than to correct somebody who hollers at the end of Blue Wind Blew "play another Hank Williams song!" He also mentions that he learned to play "Fraulein" for his dad. Although he doesn't talk much, this is a top notch performance, with a few rarely played tunes. 1) Dollar Bill Blues 2) No Place To Fall 3) Buckskin Stallion Blues 4) Pancho and Lefty 5) Short Haired Woman Blues *Lightning Hopkins 6) Ain't Leavin' Your Love 7) Waitin' 'Round To Die 8) Kathleen 9) Rex's Blues 10) Lungs 11) Fraulein 12) To Live is to Fly 13) Marie 14) Snowin' On Raton 15) Blue Wind Blew 16) You Win Again *Hank Williams 17) T For Texas *Jimmie Rodgers 18) Lovers Lullaby 19) If I Needed You 20) White Freightliner Blues 21) Colorado Girl 22) Flyin' Shoes
