Townes Van Zandt November 16, 1994 Jubez Karlsruhe, Germany In keeping with the spirt of this fond tribute to Townes, I decided that there would be no more "waitin' 'round to die" for this one. Here we have a very excellent audience recording which has never been torrented or shared before in Lossless format. I have seen this show listed on private cdr trading lists, but there is no listing of it in the beloved database. I found this while digging through a box of cdr's that I had received in a trade several months ago. Disc 2 is incredible & downright bone chilling at times. Although one of his later performances, this is a great show with a couple rarely played tunes & it certainly ranks high up as one of my favorites. An interesting anecdote here is that Townes says that he wrote "You Are Not Needed Now" for Janis Joplin. *Tech notes- This is completely uncut, unedited, the way I received it on cdr. No tweaking or editing has been performed on my part. I used EAC "secure mode" to perform the extraction. All flacs, ffp's, & md5 created via TLC. ---Dharma Jay January 1, 2009 Disc 1 1) Dollar Bill Blues 2) Two Girls 3) Pancho and Lefty 4) Katie Belle 5) Lungs 6) Blaze's Blues 7) Rex's Blues 8) A Song For 9) Short Haired Woman Blues *Lightning Hopkins 10) To Lives To Fly 11) Buckskin Stallion Blues Set 2 12) Tuning 13) Flyin' Shoes 14) Gone Too Long 15) Catfish Song Disc 2 1) Snake Mountain Blues 2) No Place To Fall 3) High, Low, and In Between 4) Don't You Take it to Bad 5) The Whole 6) Marie 7) Kathleen 8) Still Looking For You 9) Loretta 10) For The Sake Of The Song 11) Tecumseh Valley 12) Dead Flowers *The Rolling Stones 13) Highway Kind 14) Mr. Mudd & Mr. Gold 15) You Are Not Needed Now Encore 16) Snowin' On Raton 17) White Freightliner Blues
