The sequential sampling table can save time and money by allowing early decisions when the pest density is well above or below the action threshold. To interpret the table, note whether your sample total (total no. larvae in sq. ft. samples) is below the 'no treat' level, above the 'treat' level, or in between. If the population is in between these levels, then 10 or more additional samples are recommended before making a decision to treat.
